About us
A tuition service built around the individual student
Learning in Time was created to give students the individual attention that large classes cannot always provide — with qualified teachers, small groups and honest communication with parents.
Our purpose
Building confidence. Achieving potential.
We support students from Year 3 to Year 11 in English and Maths, from building early foundations through to SATs and GCSE preparation. Some students come to us because they have fallen behind and lost confidence. Others come because they are capable and want to be stretched further. Both are equally welcome.
What stays the same is our method: understand the student first, teach deliberately, and keep parents informed about what is improving and what still needs work. We do not make promises about specific grades — we focus on the teaching that makes better outcomes likely.

What we stand for
The standards behind every lesson
Teach the student, not the class
Lessons are shaped by assessment, not by a fixed script delivered to everyone.
Never more than six
Group sessions are capped at 6 students per teacher so nobody can quietly fall behind.
Qualified teachers only
All of our tutors are fully qualified educators.
Safeguarding first
Enhanced DBS checks for every teacher, and a calm, respectful learning environment.
Confidence matters
Students who believe they can improve, do. We teach in a way that rebuilds self-belief.
Honest communication
Regular, realistic updates on progress — including the areas still to work on.
